Ikenga Ugochinyere, a House of Representatives member, has expressed strong criticism towards the National Caucus of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and its governors.

The party’s integrity and commitment to its cause have been questioned due to the presence of a serving APC government official at a closed-door PDP caucus meeting.

Ugochinyere, representing Ideato North and South Federal Constituency of Imo State, expressed deep dismay over the perceived weakness displayed by the PDP leadership

On Thursday, the legislator shared a statement on his X Twitter.

He said, “Is this really happening to us?
PDP governors and National Caucus members sat helplessly without anyone standing up to stop a serving APC government official from entering their closed door caucus meeting in abuja few hours ago.

“How weak can a party that claims that it wants to capture power in 2027 be by allowing a man campaigning for APC to stampede their meeting?”

The statement followed reports that the ex-governor of Rivers State was allowed to attend the party’s caucus meeting ahead of today’s National Executive Council, NEC, meeting.

Wike, the current FCT minister, led five governors against Atiku Abubakar’s presidential candidate in the last election.
