Governor Caleb Mutfwang urges calm among residents following the Chikam community attack in Bokkos Local Government Area, stating that security agencies are intensifying efforts to restore peace and normalcy.
Mutfwang expressed his condolences to the families impacted and the state as a whole. He also denounced the horrific act and emphasized the government’s commitment to guaranteeing everyone’s safety and security, including students.
The attack, which resulted in the loss of several lives, including that of a 200-level Computer Science student of Plateau University, Bokkos, has sent shockwaves across the region.
In a statement issued by his spokesman, Gyang Bere, Governor Mutfwang reiterated the government’s commitment to apprehend and prosecute those responsible for the crime, emphasizing the need for swift and decisive action in the face of such atrocities.
