Omoyele Sowore, the 2023 African Action Congress presidential candidate, has criticized President Bola Tinubu’s first year in office as a “terrible failure.”

Sowore critique comes as Tinubu marks the completion of his first year as president, a period that has elicited mixed reactions from the public.

Posting on the social media platform X, formerly known as Twitter, Sowore expressed his profound dissatisfaction with the administration’s performance

He wrote: “The regime of @officialABAT failed so terribly in the last year that we would have to dissolve the class instead of scoring the regime!”

Sowore emphasized that if he were to evaluate Tinubu’s government as a teacher, he would see no merit in assigning a grade, preferring instead to dissolve the class due to the administration’s lack of progress.

He pointed out that inflation has surged to unprecedented levels, unemployment has worsened, and security conditions have deteriorated over the past year.

“I will take it as my responsibility to inform the authorities that for one year, we learnt nothing,” Sowore stated, underscoring the severe economic and social challenges facing Nigeria
