Former lawmaker Senator Shehu Sani has criticized lawmakers from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and the Labour Party (LP) for their lack of visibility and activity in the National Assembly.

Sani, who represented Kaduna Central in the 8th assembly, expressed his concerns in a post on his X handle on Saturday, drawing attention to the perceived passivity of opposition lawmakers.

Sani’s remarks highlight a significant issue regarding the performance of opposition parties in the legislative process.

According to him, the ruling party, All Progressives Congress (APC), is the only party whose lawmakers are actively visible in the National Assembly.

He stressed that the PDP and LP lawmakers are not fulfilling their roles adequately, thereby not meeting the expectations of the electorate.

“Ruling party lawmakers are visible in the National Assembly. Opposition lawmakers are invisible in the National Assembly,” Sani stated in his post.
