The commendation came through a statement issued on Saturday by Tinubu’s Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Ajuri Ngelale.

In his message, President Tinubu also praised the South African electorate for the peaceful and successful conduct of the general election, highlighting the significance of such democratic processes in strengthening the foundations of governance.

“President Bola Tinubu extends his warm congratulations to His Excellency, President Cyril Ramaphosa of South Africa, on his re-election,” read the statement.

“The President also congratulates the people of South Africa on the peaceful and successful conduct of the general election.”

Furthermore, President Tinubu expressed his best wishes for President Ramaphosa’s upcoming term, emphasizing the importance of fostering closer ties between Nigeria and South Africa.

He underscored the potential for both nations to serve as strategic partners, working collaboratively for the advancement of the African continent.

“While wishing President Ramaphosa a successful term in office, President Tinubu calls for the strengthening of bilateral ties between Nigeria and South Africa as strategic partners in Africa for the overall advancement of the continent,” the statement concluded.
