Manchester City’s Kevin De Bruyne has declined a £1 million-a-week offer from Saudi Arabian Al-Ittihad this summer.

Belgian star has decided to stay with Premier League champions after consulting with his family..

Al-Ittihad manager Laurent Blanc was initially optimistic about the club’s prospects of securing De Bruyne’s signature.

However, the UK Mirror reports that the midfielder will continue to play under Pep Guardiola for at least another year.

The primary reason behind his decision is the concern about uprooting his family, particularly the impact on his eldest son Mason Milian’s schooling.

De Bruyne, 33, and his wife, Michele, have significant reservations about changing Mason’s educational environment, a factor that heavily influenced the decision to stay in Manchester.
