Manchester United are reportedly eyeing a move for former Real Madrid, and Chelsea left-back Marcos Alonso this summer, according to The Mirror.
Alonso is currently a free agent after leaving Barcelona following the expiration of his contract this summer.
The 33-year-old veteran defender is on a three-man shortlist as Manchester United look to bolster their left-back options for the upcoming season.
Alongside Alonso, Feyenoord’s David Hancko and Crystal Palace’s Tyrick Mitchell are also being considered.
Hancko has been linked with a move to Atletico Madrid, though negotiations have stalled, while AC Milan has also expressed interest in the 25-year-old Slovakian defender.
Mitchell, meanwhile, may be available at a reduced price as he enters the final 12 months of his contract with Crystal Palace.
Alonso, a former Chelsea player, has made 154 Premier League appearances and won numerous titles, including the Premier League, Champions League, Europa League, FA Cup, FIFA Club World Cup, and UEFA Super Cup.
