Peter Okoye, also known as Mr. P, has took to Instagram to air his grievances regarding the recent public statements made by his twin brother, Paul Okoye, known as Rudeboy
Peter expressed frustration and concerns over Paul’s attempts to undermine their joint legacy as P-Square and his individual contributions to the group’s success in an open letter.
In his post, Peter wrote, “An open letter to my dear brother Paul Okoye, aka Rudeboy. Just like I have told you several times, I am not in competition with you or anybody else. However, seeing you grant countless interviews where you constantly discredit my effort to the group that we both created and built together speaks volumes. In your recent interviews, you claim that you wrote and sang 99% of all P-Square songs…”
The letter is a direct response to Paul’s recent interviews, where he claimed to have written and performed the majority of P-Square’s hits, a statement that Peter believes not only distorts the truth but also disrespects his contributions.
Peter emphasized the personal toll this ongoing feud has taken on him, his family, and his career.
“I often find myself wondering what you truly gain by constantly disrespecting and belittling me all the time. You have disrespected my wife, disrespected my family, disrespected my talent, disrespected my ideas, and even sided with Jude when he was clearly trying to oppress me,” Peter wrote.
“Now, if you like, you have taken it further by trying so hard to turn the fans against me by making them believe that I’m jealous of you.”
Peter’s letter highlighted his desire to move forward peacefully despite the ongoing conflict, expressing his wish for the drama to end so he can focus on his music.
He wrote, “I hope you are happy now. I genuinely wish you nothing but the best, bro! As for those who believe the lies and false narratives and come to my page to drop negative comments, I understand because you have been fed the wrong narrative for a long time. Please allow me to focus and do my music in peace.”
