Former Chelsea midfielder, John Mikel Obi, has expressed his desire for his former club to consider signing Jadon Sancho from Manchester United before the summer transfer window closes.

Sancho, who hasn’t played for United this season, is being linked to a possible swap deal with Chelsea’s Raheem Sterling.

With just three days remaining in the transfer window, Mikel Obi has openly admitted on his podcast that he would be pleased to see the 23-year-old winger make the move to Stamford Bridge.

“If we can get him through the door at Chelsea, I’d be very, very happy. He’s a fantastic player,” Mikel said during the podcast episode.

“I think on that side of the pitch, we’re very strong. But listen, if we can get a player like Jadon, of course, you’d be happy to have him. If that happens, I’d be very happy.”

Sancho’s future at Old Trafford has been uncertain, with limited game time and the possibility of a fresh start elsewhere becoming more likely.

The transfer rumors are heightened by the potential swap deal involving Sterling, who joined Chelsea from Manchester City last year.

While no official confirmation has been made by either club, the clock is ticking, and the next few days could prove decisive in shaping the squads for the upcoming season.
