Who is this program for?

The DOOM Mentorship Program is tailored to nurture the talents and potential of students, emerging leaders, and active practitioners in the Health Information Management (HIM) field.

While we value student involvement, this particular program is best suited for individuals with some work experience, aiming to deepen their skills and career growth.

If you’re a student seeking mentorship opportunities, we encourage you to reach out for a list of other available programs.

As this is our pilot initiative, the first cohort will be intentionally kept small. This allows us to focus on refining the process and ensuring that all participants receive personalized, high-quality support and mentorship.

What is the structure of the program?

The structure of DOOM is designed to foster meaningful mentor-mentee relationships, with a clear focus on goal-setting and professional development.

– 1:1 Meetings: Each mentee will coordinate individual meetings with their assigned mentor. These sessions will focus on setting goals, tracking progress, and gaining valuable feedback and insights.

– Duration: Mentors and mentees are expected to meet for a minimum of six sessions over the program’s duration, ensuring ample time to develop a productive relationship without overwhelming commitments.

– Resources: Participants will have access to guidance materials and onboarding sessions, providing a structured pathway to success.

– Ongoing Support: Monthly surveys will be distributed to all participants to gather feedback and ensure the program continues to meet your needs. These surveys also serve as a way for us to track your progress and provide additional support as necessary.
