Manchester City midfielder, Rodri, has revealed that he would have cast his votes for Real Madrid duo Dani Carvajal and Vinicius Junior in the 2024 Ballon d’Or race.

Despite winning the prestigious individual award himself, the 28-year-old Spanish international made it clear that he would have ranked his La Liga counterparts highly.

In an interview with Partidazo Cope, Rodri shared that, had he been in the position to vote, he would have placed Dani Carvajal in second place and Vinicius Junior in third for the 2024 Ballon d’Or.

“I’d vote Dani Carvajal 2nd at the Ballon d’Or… and Vinicius Jr as 3rd,” Rodri stated, acknowledging the significant performances of both Real Madrid players over the past year.

Rodri’s own Ballon d’Or triumph came after a stellar year, during which he played a pivotal role in Manchester City’s historic 2023-24 Premier League campaign and helped guide Spain to victory at Euro 2024 in Germany.

His contributions at both club and international levels earned him the highest number of votes, beating out Vinicius, Jude Bellingham, and Carvajal.
