Afrobeats superstar, Davido, has announced he will commemorate his 32nd birthday with a generous donation of N300 million.
The singer, whose real name is David Adeleke, shared the news via his X (formerly Twitter) account on Monday morning.
In his post, Davido revealed that the donation will be split between orphanages and a charity dedicated to combating drug abuse among young people.
This move continues the singer’s tradition of using his birthday as an opportunity to give back to society.
“Once again, for my birthday this year, we are donating to orphanages and a charity that helps young people stay away from drug abuse & addiction. This year is N300m. Details to follow soon,” Davido wrote on his social media platform.
This is not the first time Davido has chosen to make a significant charitable gesture on his birthday.
In November 2021, he made headlines by donating N250 million to support 292 orphanages across Nigeria in celebration of his 29th birthday. The donation was praised for its impact on the lives of vulnerable children across the country.
Fans and followers are now eagerly awaiting more details on the latest donation, as Davido continues to use his platform for social good.
