A new documentary series about rapper and music mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs is currently in production, with the focus set on his legal troubles, which include serious charges of sex trafficking and racketeering.
The 55-year-old, who was arrested in September 2024, is currently being held at the Metropolitan Detention Center in New York, where he awaits trial.
The charges against him include racketeering, sex trafficking, and transportation to engage in prostitution.
The documentary, titled Diddy: In Plain Sight, is being produced in collaboration with Lion TV and Channel 4. It aims to explore the high-profile charges against the music executive and delve into the allegations surrounding him.
The series follows the success of other documentaries that examined controversial figures such as Russell Brand, Andrew Tate, and Marilyn Manson, raising anticipation for what could be shocking revelations about Combs’ rise to fame and his personal life.
A TV insider revealed that the documentary would provide an in-depth look at Diddy’s career, the accusations against him, and the behind-the-scenes happenings at his infamous White Parties, where some of the alleged events are said to have taken place.
The series is expected to feature testimonies from those directly involved in the case, as well as from people connected to Diddy’s career and the entertainment industry at large.
“As the clock ticks toward Diddy’s trial, this documentary gives a voice to those who have yet to speak out about the case,” the insider said. “It promises to uncover untold stories, including some very shocking revelations.”
Diddy’s arrest in September followed a series of allegations from multiple women who claimed to have been coerced into illegal activities, some of which are said to have occurred during the rapper’s lavish parties.
The charges are serious, and his trial is scheduled to begin on May 5, 2025. The timing of the documentary is expected to stir public interest, particularly as the legal proceedings unfold.
In addition to Channel 4’s series, Netflix is also working on a documentary about the embattled star, titled Diddy Do. This series will likely complement the Channel 4 production, providing another layer of coverage for the ongoing saga.
With both documentaries set to air later this year, Diddy’s legal and public image will continue to be under intense scrutiny, and the world will be watching closely as the details of his trial—and his controversial past—come to light.
