Popular skitmaker Nasboi has called on Nigerians to stop using celebrity marriages as a measure for the institution of marriage.
This come after singer 2face Idibia announced his separation from his wife of 12 years, Annie Idibia, which led some Nigerians to question the validity of marriage.
Taking to his X handle, Nasboi addressed those who have expressed doubt in marriage following the announcement of the celebrity divorce.
He pointed out the longevity of other marriages, particularly those of parents who have been together for decades.
“One celebrity divorce, and you begin to say this thing called marriage is not for me,” Nasboi wrote.
“But you forget your parents who have been married for over 30 something years. Stop using celebrity marriages to define marriage. If you like, don’t marry; na you sabi.”
