Spain striker and national team captain, Alvaro Morata, has completed a surprise loan move to Turkish giants Galatasaray from AC Milan for a reported fee of £5 million.

The 31-year-old forward will remain with the reigning Super Lig champions until January 2026, with the deal including a permanent buy option.

“An agreement has been reached with AC Milan,” Galatasaray confirmed in an official statement.

As part of the deal, Morata will earn a guaranteed salary of €3 million for the second half of the 2024-25 season and another €3 million for the first half of the 2025-26 campaign.

If Galatasaray exercises their option to make the move permanent, he will receive €6 million per season for the 2026-27 and 2027-28 campaigns.

The move comes amid a period of personal transition for Morata, as it follows the recent reconciliation with his wife, Italian influencer Alice Campello, just five months after their reported separation.

Morata, who previously played for clubs including Real Madrid, Chelsea, Atletico Madrid, and Juventus, will now look to make a significant impact in Turkish football.
