Popular Nollywood actor and clergyman, Yul Edochie, has called out self-proclaimed born-again Christians who abandon flashy clothing, makeup, drinking, and smoking but still exhibit unkind and wicked behavior.
In a post shared on his Instagram page, Edochie argued that true spirituality is not about outward appearance but about one’s actions and treatment of others.
“Some people claim they are born-again, then stop wearing flashy clothes, makeup, and even quit drinking and smoking, yet they still have wickedness in their hearts,” he wrote.
The actor emphasized that such individuals should stop deceiving themselves, as God is more concerned with their character and how they treat others rather than their mode of dressing.
