A Nigerian man, Agba Richard, has taken to Facebook to mourn his niece, Abigail Ande, who was among the 28 passengers tragically burnt to death in a fatal auto crash along the Ore-Lagos Expressway in Odigbo Local Government Area of Ondo State.
The accident, which occurred over the weekend, involved a commercial bus belonging to GUO Motors and a Flight Transport Company vehicle conveying passengers from Gboko, Benue State, to Lagos.
Reports indicate that both vehicles collided head-on before bursting into flames, leaving passengers trapped in the wreckage.
In a heart-wrenching Facebook post, Richard recounted how he initially came across the news but had no idea that a family member was among the victims.
“When I saw a headline about a terrible accident involving a GUO transport bus and a Flight transport bus, I immediately prayed for the souls of the victims and closed the news. Even without knowing my immediate family member was a victim, I was deeply pained when I read the story,” he wrote
He expressed his sorrow and anguish, questioning whether she had died instantly or endured the excruciating pain of the flames.
“Was my little sister dead immediately after the collision? Was she still breathing and screaming while burning in the vehicle, with no hope of survival? What were her last words? Did she experience pain until she gave up screaming and was burnt beyond recognition?” he lamented.
Richard concluded his tribute with prayers, seeking divine comfort for the bereaved families and eternal rest for the departed souls.
