Ayra Starr’s mother has shared an interesting perspective on the benefits of TikTok, urging young people to introduce their mothers to the platform.
In a video posted on her TikTok account, she emphasized how being active on the social media app has positively impacted her mental well-being and creativity.
“If your mum is between 40, 50, 60, encourage them to be on TikTok because it helps them mentally,” she said.
“I’m on TikTok now, and I can testify to it. My thinking now is different from before. I’m always thinking of creativity—how I would create new things, how I want to dress up, how I want to look.”
She further encouraged older women to share their life experiences on the platform, rather than focusing solely on entertainment.
However, she added a personal note, saying, “You don’t have to dance like me. Me, I will dance.”
When asked about the possibility of finding love again, Ayra Starr’s mum responded humorously: “All the love, all the care, them dey fake am.”
