Nassarawa Police Officer Reportedly Takes Own L!fe

A police constable, Dogara Akolo-Moses, attached to the Mada Station Division of the Nasarawa State Police Command, has reportedly taken his own life.

According to reports, the tragic incident occurred at the police division in Nasarawa Eggon Local Government Area, where the officer was last seen carrying out his duties before the unfortunate event.

Eyewitnesses stated that Akolo-Moses went into a private room and allegedly shot himself.

The loud gunshot drew the attention of his colleagues, who rushed to the scene, only to find him lying in a pool of blood with his service weapon beside him.

“Colleagues of the deceased who were outside the apartment heard the gunshot, prompting them to rush inside, where they found the officer lying on the floor with his gun beside him,” a source revealed.

The motive behind his action remains unknown at this time.

Confirming the incident, the spokesperson of the Nasarawa State Police Command, Ramhan Nansel, said an investigation is underway to determine the circumstances surrounding the officer’s death.
