Police Arrest Man for K!ll!ng His Brother Over Foodstuff in Anambra

Anambra State Police Command has arrested a 37-year-old man, Anthony Kosisochukwu Okafor, for allegedly k!ll!ng his elder brother, Emmanuel Okafor, during a dispute over foodstuffs in their home at Adegbe Village, Abagana, Njikoka Local Government Area.

The tragic incident, which occurred on Friday, February 7, was confirmed by the state police spokesperson, SP Tochukwu Ikenga.

According to Ikenga, the suspect admitted to engaging in a heated argument with his elder brother, which escalated into a physical altercation. In the course of the fight, Kosisochukwu reportedly used a stick to stab the deceased in the chest.

Efforts to save Emmanuel proved futile as he was rushed to the hospital, where the attending doctor confirmed his death.

Describing the incident as disturbing, Ikenga emphasized the need for peaceful conflict resolution within families.

He noted that such unfortunate cases highlight the dangers of unchecked domestic disputes and emotional outbursts.
