Human rights activist and lawyer, Dele Farotimi, has shared a piece of advice he wishes he had given his younger self, urging those who plan to stay in Nigeria to consider leaving Lagos for a more peaceful existence.
Farotimi made this statement via his X handle, where he reflected on his experiences in the country’s commercial capital.
According to him, Lagos has a way of draining the peace of its residents, making life in the bustling city more challenging than rewarding.
“Lagos sucks out the peace of its residents,” he wrote, hinting at the city’s notorious traffic congestion, high cost of living, and intense daily struggles that often leave many frustrated.
