Police Arrest Two Suspected Cultists in Lagos

Operatives of the Rapid Response Squad (RRS) of the Lagos State Police Command have arrested two suspected cultists while they were returning from an alleged confraternity gathering.

The police disclosed this in a statement on Thursday, February 13, 2025, identifying the suspects as Okey Bright, also known as B in Fine Boy, aged 21, and Daniel Prince, 22.

According to the statement, the duo was apprehended at around 4:00 a.m. on Monday, February 11, after attending their confraternity’s annual conference at a hotel in Lekki (name withheld).

“Preliminary investigations revealed that Bright, a resident of Ikoyi, joined the confraternity in 2024. He is a university student,” the police stated

The second suspect, Daniel Prince, a hairstylist and university student, was reportedly carrying a cross bag, which raised the suspicion of the officers.

“Inside Prince’s bag, operatives discovered caps associated with the confraternity, leading to the immediate arrest of both suspects,” the statement added.

The police assured that the arrests align with their ongoing efforts to curb cult-related activities and maintain security in he state.

“The suspects have been transferred to the CP’s Special Squad for further investigations.”

The Lagos State Police Command has reiterated its commitment to cracking down on cultism and urged residents to report any suspicious activities in their communities.
