A self-styled Yoruba advocate, Arakunrin, has called on Yoruba women to be more intentional in securing relationships with successful Yoruba men, stressing the importance of marriage in wealth retention and community growth.
In a widely circulated post on X, Arakunrin argued that Yoruba women should abandon conservative dating styles and actively pursue rich, intelligent, and ambitious Yoruba men.
He warned that women from other ethnic groups, particularly from the South-South, Middle Belt, and South-East, are deliberate in attracting high-value Yoruba men.
“Marriage is power. Our women must stop being timid. A Yoruba footballer earning $100,000 weekly should be married to a Yoruba woman to keep the wealth within the community,” he stated
Arakunrin further emphasized that Yoruba men are in high demand both locally and internationally, noting that women from various ethnicities and nationalities actively seek them out.
He urged Yoruba women, especially those in the diaspora, to be more competitive in relationships.
