Former Kaduna State Governor, Nasir El-Rufai, has expressed disappointment over President Bola Tinubu’s performance, stating that he has not lived up to expectations in moving Nigeria forward.

Speaking on Arise TV’s Prime Time program on Monday, El-Rufai noted that many had high hopes for Tinubu’s leadership based on his track record as governor of Lagos State. However, he argued that those expectations have yet to materialize.

“Two years after the election of President Tinubu, none of the party organs are functioning, the progressive ideals are not being pursued with vigor, and the very high expectations we had of the president to take this country to the highest level based on his track record in Lagos is somehow not materializing,” El-Rufai stated.

This is not the first time El-Rufai has criticized the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC). Recently, he accused the party of lacking internal democracy and failing to convene key meetings in the past two years.

His remarks add to growing discussions about the state of governance under Tinubu’s administration and the internal dynamics within the APC as Nigeria moves forward.
