The spokesperson of the Nigerian Senate, Yemi Adaramodu, has expressed disapproval over Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan and her husband, Emmanuel Uduaghan, sharing a kiss upon their arrival at the National Assembly.
Speaking on Channels TV, Adaramodu described the moment as unexpected and likened it to scenes from school plays.
“This is bewildering… When I saw my colleague and sister, Natasha Akpoti, entering with a kiss, it made me look back at when we were acting in entertainment state theatres in primary school,” he said.
While some Nigerians see the gesture as a harmless expression of love, others argue that such displays of affection are inappropriate in a formal legislative setting.
