Gunmen Kidnap Bishop Kukah’s Relative, Six Others in Kaduna

Gunmen have reportedly kidnapped seven individuals, including women and children, in Anchuna village, Ikulu Chiefdom, Zangon Kataf Local Government Area of Kaduna State.

The attack, which occurred late Wednesday night, March 5, saw the assailants storm the village in large numbers, firing gunshots before taking their victims away.

Confirming the incident to Daily Trust, Samuel Kukah, a family member of renowned cleric Bishop Hassan Kukah, revealed that his younger brother, Ishaya Kukah, was among those abducted.

“My brother, Ishaya, was the only male among the abductees; the rest are women and children. The attackers struck around 11 p.m.,” he said.

Kukah added that there had been no contact from the kidnappers regarding a ransom demand.

“We are praying for their safety while waiting for any call,” he stated.

He further urged security agencies to take swift action to ensure the safe return of the victims, highlighting the vulnerability of those abducted.
