A newlywed Nigerian man, Peculiar Emmanuel, has publicly celebrated his wife, Mercy, for upholding her commitment to sexual purity until their wedding day.
The couple tied the knot in February 2025, and Emmanuel took to social media to express his admiration and appreciation for his wife’s values, describing her as a symbol of resilience and virtue in today’s society.
“Thank you wifey for keeping yourself pure, untouched, unbroken, and unmatched,” he wrote in a heartfelt Facebook post.
He went on to commend her for staying true to her principles despite social pressures and for being a role model to young Christian ladies who still uphold similar values.
“Thank you for saying no a thousand times to the pressures of defilement from all sundry. Thank you for being a sermon to young Christian ladies out there that virginity is not old school — it is value for a reasonable man,” he added.
