The Leader of INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, Primate Elijah Ayodele, has issued a stern warning to Senate President Godswill Akpabio over alleged plans to recall embattled Kogi Central Senator, Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan.
According to Ayodele, Natasha’s removal from the Senate would come at a heavy price for Akpabio, triggering a series of dramatic events that could tarnish the Senate’s reputation.
In a statement released by his media aide, Oluwatosin Osho, Primate Ayodele warned that the Senate could become a battleground, with infighting, riots, and open disagreements among lawmakers.
“The removal of Natasha will cost the Senate President dearly. There will be chaos, infighting, and the chamber will be reduced to a Senate of controversy,” Ayodele stated.
He further predicted that tensions would rise to the point where senators might physically confront each other, and some lawmakers could be denied the opportunity to speak.
Beyond the immediate crisis, Ayodele foresaw more difficulties for Akpabio, including increasing opposition from within his own party.
“Akpabio will face more challenges, including disrespect and outright opposition from fellow senators. The house will be divided, and there will be a growing sense of instability,” he added.
The cleric also urged senators to pray for peace and health stability, warning of potential health crises among lawmakers.
While no official statement has been issued by the Senate leadership regarding the alleged recall plans, the controversy surrounding Akpoti-Uduaghan’s tenure continues to generate intense political debate.
