US Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) has sharply criticized President Donald Trump as he marks 100 days of his second term in office this week.

Schumer’s comments come amid growing frustration over Trump’s policies and decisions in the early days of his presidency.

Trump, who was inaugurated as the 47th president of the United States on January 20, 2025, is now approaching the milestone of 100 days in office, set to conclude on April 29, 2025.

Schumer did not hold back in expressing his discontent with Trump’s performance thus far, calling the first 100 days “hell” for the American people.

On Monday morning, Schumer took to social media, posting a tweet that read: “Donald Trump’s first 100 days as president have been 100 days from hell for the American people. His first 100 days have been the worst for any president in modern history.”

The sharp condemnation follows several controversial decisions and policies under Trump’s administration, including efforts to restrict collective bargaining rights for federal employees. Schumer recently praised a federal judge’s decision to temporarily block these efforts, which would have affected workers in various government agencies and departments.
