A pastor with the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor Tunde Benjamin Olaniyi, has urged Nigerians to acknowledge the inevitability of death and embrace a life of spiritual preparedness.

Speaking at the funeral service of the late Barrister Niyi Ayoola-Daniels on Thursday at the RCCG International Christian Center in Abuja, Pastor Olaniyi emphasized that neither wealth nor fame can shield anyone from death.

He encouraged all Nigerians to worship God wholeheartedly and live in readiness for eternity.

“Death is not the end, but a transition to eternal life—especially for those who love and serve God,” the pastor said.

“We must ask ourselves, are we ready? If not, then it’s time to amend our ways and accept Christ as our Lord and Saviour.”

Barrister Ayoola-Daniels, aged 60, was a pastor with the RCCG and a prominent legal practitioner. He was laid to rest at the Gudu Cemetery in Abuja.

The service was attended by several dignitaries including the Attorney-General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Prince Lateef Fagbemi SAN, Solicitor-General of the Federation, Mrs Beatrice Jedy-Agba, former AGF Chief Akin Olujimi SAN, Professor Yemi Akinseye-George SAN, judges, senior lawyers, and top government officials.

Pastor Olaniyi described the deceased as a man who lived a life of impact and spiritual devotion.

He called on mourners to honour his memory by reflecting on their own lives and striving to make positive contributions to society.
