Popular human rights activist and lawyer, Deji Adeyanju, has raised concerns over what he described as the gradual silencing of dissenting voices under the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

Adeyanju, in a post on X, alleged that the government is systematically targeting activists, artists, and celebrities who speak out against its policies.

He warned that the current trend, if not checked, could lead to a situation where no one would have the courage to challenge the government.

“Tinubu is coming for everyone one by one – activists, artists, celebrities, etc. But clowns who love praising politicians every 4 years still think it’s all games and jokes. By the time he is done, nobody will have the guts to challenge him or his government. He might even attempt a third term,” Adeyanju wrote.
