Nigerian music star Peter Okoye, widely known as Mr P, has shared his thoughts on the recent split from his twin brother and former music partner, Paul Okoye (Rudeboy).
In a candid interview with Cool FM Lagos, Mr P expressed contentment with his decision to continue as a solo artist.
“There’s a joy that comes with going solo,” he stated. “Please respect our decisions. We’ve tried it; it’s not working.”
The statement follows recent confirmation from Paul that the iconic Afro-pop duo, P-Square, had once again parted ways.
The brothers initially disbanded in 2016 after internal disagreements but surprised fans with a reunion in 2021, reigniting hopes of a lasting comeback.
However, this latest development suggests that the reunion may have been short-lived, with both artists now appearing focused on their individual careers.
P-Square, known for hits like “Do Me,” “Personally,” and “No One Like You,” were once Africa’s leading music duo, gaining international recognition for their dynamic performances and catchy tunes.
