Sporting CP forward Viktor Gyokeres has sparked fresh transfer speculation following his post-match comments after guiding his team to victory in the Taça de Portugal final.

The 26-year-old Swedish international scored a dramatic stoppage-time penalty to help Sporting Lisbon come from behind to defeat arch-rivals Benfica — a performance many believe could mark the end of his spell in Portugal.

Gyokeres, who has enjoyed a prolific season with 54 goals and 13 assists in 51 appearances, has been on the radar of several Premier League giants including Arsenal, Manchester United, and Chelsea.

Responding to questions about his future, Gyokeres remained cautious but left the door open for a possible transfer.

“Let us see. It’s hard for me to say, because it is football and you never know what’s going to happen in the summer,” he told reporters.

When asked specifically about a potential move to Arsenal, the striker deflected: “I don’t know, I just focus on this. I’ve tried to focus on the last games because it’s so important and I don’t want to think about anything else. So yeah, if anything is true, let’s see in the summer.”

Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta is reportedly in the market for a top striker, with Gyokeres and Napoli’s Victor Osimhen among the top names linked with the club.
