Former Minister of Aviation and chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Chief Femi Fani-Kayode (FFK), has launched a scathing criticism against opposition parties, describing them as weak, divided, and unfit to challenge the ruling party ahead of the 2027 general elections.

In a statement shared via his official social media handle, Fani-Kayode declared the APC as “the most united and focused political party in Nigeria’s history,” while casting doubts on the readiness and cohesion of the country’s major opposition forces.

“The opposition forces are the weakest, most fragmented, most indisciplined, most cowardly, most incompetent, most confused, most divided and most badly led in our entire history,” the former minister wrote.

He further mocked their internal crises and alleged inability to maintain order during key meetings, asking rhetorically, “Are these the clowns that want to take over power at the centre in 2027?

FFK’s remarks come amid growing speculations about political realignments and talks of possible alliances among opposition parties ahead of the next electoral cycle.

However, he dismissed such moves as “illusionary,” accusing the opposition of putting personal ambition above party unity and national interest.

He maintained that the APC remains the dominant force, both at the federal and state levels, and predicted a further weakening of opposition influence.
