Saudi Pro League side Al Hilal are on the verge of securing the services of Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen, after agreeing to a €75 million transfer deal with Serie A club Napoli.
According to renowned transfer journalist Fabrizio Romano, Al Hilal have already made arrangements for the player’s travel and medical examinations.
However, the transfer is still subject to Osimhen’s final approval.
“Al Hilal have booked travel and medical for Victor Osimhen, still waiting for his green light to the move. €75m deal in place with Napoli after new proposal revealed yesterday, depending on the player now,” Romano posted on his official X handle on Saturday night.
Osimhen, 26, has returned to Nigeria to deliberate on his next move as speculation continues to mount over his future.
The Super Eagles forward had been on the radar of several European clubs, notably Chelsea, with whom he was close to signing last summer before opting for a one-year loan switch to Turkish giants Galatasaray.
The potential transfer to Al Hilal signals growing interest by Saudi clubs in high-profile European talents, with Osimhen’s possible move following a trend of top stars relocating to the Middle East in recent seasons.
If completed, Osimhen would become one of the marquee names in the Saudi league, adding firepower to an Al Hilal squad keen on domestic and continental dominance.
