The Secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Gwargwada Ward, Kuje Area Council of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abdullahi Balla, has reportedly died after collapsing on his way back from the farm.
His younger brother, Ibrahim Bala, confirmed the incident in a statement to Daily Trust, noting that the tragic event occurred last week.
According to him, Abdullahi had spent the day working on the farm alongside two of his younger siblings and appeared to be in good health prior to the incident.
“Abdullahi had just finished working and was walking back home with two of our brothers when he suddenly slumped,” Ibrahim recounted. “They held him and quickly called someone who came with a motorcycle and rushed him to the hospital.”
Sadly, Abdullahi was pronounced dead on arrival at the health facility. His remains have since been laid to rest in accordance with Islamic rites.
The late ward secretary was described as a committed party member and a respected member of the community. His sudden death has left many in shock, with sympathies pouring in from political associates and residents of the area.
