Nigerian street-pop singer, Habeeb Okikiola, popularly known as Portable, has accused social media activist Martins Otse, popularly called VeryDarkMan (VDM), of manipulating public opinion and diverting attention from the real pursuit of justice for the late singer, Mohbad.
In a video shared online, Portable alleged that VDM, who initially gained public support for advocating justice in Mohbad’s case, has now changed direction and begun attacking those genuinely involved in the campaign, particularly actress Iyabo Ojo.
“VeryDarkMan, you came out deceiving Nigerians that you want justice for Mohbad. You’re a manipulator,” Portable said. “Now, you’re dragging Iyabo Ojo — what’s really her offense? You first accused people of killing Mohbad, now you’re taking a different turn.”
He further questioned VDM’s credibility, stating that the activist was doing more harm than good.
“Are you the one who will tell Nigerians who is good or not? We know those who bullied Mohbad. Stop deceiving Nigerians,” he added.
