Sokoto South Senator and former Sokoto State Governor, Aminu Tambuwal, has criticised President Bola Tinubu, alleging that the president lacks the depth and understanding required to govern Nigeria effectively.
Speaking on Channels Television’s Politics Today, Tambuwal faulted Tinubu for failing to appoint ambassadors more than two years into his administration, describing it as a sign of poor grasp of Nigeria’s federal structure.
“Tinubu has always been confined to his locality in the environment of Lagos, with due respect, and has never been a federal operator,” Tambuwal said.
“He does not understand the federal system. Up till now, we don’t have ambassadors. Two years with almost three months into the administration, what does that tell you?”
The senator added that Tinubu’s shortcomings extend beyond governance. “Tinubu lacks the knowledge of Nigeria as a country; he lacks the knowledge that Nigeria’s fabric is made of,” he said.
