The Oyo State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Youth League has lambasted Governor Seyi Makinde of the PDP, accusing him of abandoning governance for what it described as an “unrealistic presidential ambition.”

The youth group criticized Makinde’s recent distribution of luxury cars to select individuals, dubbing it a “Father Christmas” gesture, while highlighting glaring gaps in the state’s education, healthcare, and local government systems.

Oyo APC Youth Coordinator Ayobami Dagilogba urged for youth inclusion in party governance, genuine reconciliation among members, and warned against internal crises that could weaken the party ahead of the 2027 elections.

He also announced plans for a Tinubu Loyalty Walk on October 4 to show solidarity with President Bola Tinubu.

The statement from Makinde’s Chief Press Secretary, Sulaimon Olanrewaju, was brief: “We shall not dignify the statement with a response.”
