Prominent All Progressives Congress (APC) chieftain, Joe Igbokwe, has issued a strong warning to the Federal Government against releasing the detained leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu, insisting that the separatist leader does not deserve a pardon.

In a fiery statement shared on Friday via his verified social media page, Igbokwe also cautioned human rights activist and former presidential candidate Omoyele Sowore to stay away from the matter, describing Kanu as “the butcher of the South East.”

“Omoyele Sowore says he is marching to Aso Rock to protest against the detention of the butcher of South East called Nnamdi Kanu. I have told him as a friend to run 440,” Igbokwe said.
“I have alerted his younger brother, Barr. Allen Sowore, to tell him to stay away because this matter is bigger than him.”

The former Lagos APC spokesperson accused Kanu of turning the South East into “a killing field”, claiming that the IPOB leader’s agitation for Biafra left behind a decade of destruction and bloodshed.

“Nnamdi Kanu shed thousands of blood in the South East in ten years. His men turned the region into a land where life became nasty, brutish and short,” he added.

According to Igbokwe, Kanu’s actions pushed the Igbo nation “50 years backward,” stripping it of respect, dignity, and honour.

“It was a useless business enterprise that moved Igbo nation back by 50 years. We lost respect, honour, integrity, dignity, and common sense,” he lamented.

In a direct message to Sowore, Igbokwe said:

“Sowore, how many times did I call you? Three times abi? Run 440 away from South East matter. You know nothing about what Nnamdi Kanu did. Go to Nnewi and see my home. Speak to the people before you join this senseless mission.”

He further urged Nigerians outside the South East to ignore the ongoing agitation and any plans by Sowore to mobilize protests, branding the movement “reckless, childish, and senseless.”

“If you are from the South-West, South-South, North-Central, North-East or North-West, ignore Kanu and the reckless interloper called Sowore. This Aluta continua adventure is no longer relevant,” he declared.
