Senator Ned Nwoko has broken his silence on the crisis rocking his marriage to actress Regina Daniels, denying allegations of domestic violence and instead alleging that the actress is battling drug and alcohol addiction.
In a lengthy statement shared via Instagram, the lawmaker claimed Regina has refused to undergo rehabilitation either in Nigeria or abroad, adding that her current condition has led to violent outbursts and property destruction at their home.
Nwoko alleged that Regina’s brother, Sammy, and a woman identified as Ann, have been supplying her with drugs.
He further claimed that the recent viral video showing chaos in their residence was recorded after Regina, allegedly under the influence, refused to take their sick child to the hospital and attacked a nurse who exposed her condition.
“Regina was not always like this. Her current battle with drugs and alcohol abuse is the root of our problem. She must continue her rehabilitation program, or I fear for her life,” Nwoko wrote.
He also shared a video showing damaged cars and windows, which he claimed were destroyed by Regina during the incident.
