A Catholic priest, Fr. Kelvin Ugwu, has weighed in on the reported marital crisis between Nollywood actress Regina Daniels and her husband, businessman and politician Ned Nwoko, saying both parties were driven by greed from the onset of their relationship.
Reacting to the controversy in a Facebook post on Friday, Fr. Ugwu stated that Nwoko was “obsessed with virginity” while Regina was “obsessed with wealth,” and that the two got exactly what they sought in each other.
“Ned was looking for a virgin, Regina was looking for wealth. Both got what they wanted. Greed is what fuelled their union,” the priest wrote.
Fr. Ugwu further remarked that their relationship was not built on love but on material and physical satisfaction, describing it as a “contract of desires” rather than a true marriage.
“They have no reason to complain now; they are simply reaping the fruits of their greed,” he added.
The priest’s comments come amid widespread online discussions following reports that Regina Daniels had left her matrimonial home after an alleged disagreement with her husband, whose efforts to reach her have reportedly been unsuccessful.
