U.S. President Donald Trump has threatened to deploy American forces to Nigeria, claiming the country has failed to stop what he described as the “killing of Christians by Islamists.”

Posting on his Truth Social platform, Trump said he had directed the Pentagon to prepare a possible plan of attack, warning that the United States could go into Nigeria “guns-a-blazing.”

“If the Nigerian Government continues to allow the killing of Christians, the U.S.A. will immediately stop all aid and may very well go into that now disgraced country to completely wipe out the Islamic terrorists,” Trump declared.

He went further, describing any potential strike as “fast, vicious, and sweet,” while accusing the Nigerian government of turning a blind eye to what he called “horrible atrocities” against Christians.

“WARNING: THE NIGERIAN GOVERNMENT BETTER MOVE FAST!” he concluded.

The post comes a day after Trump alleged  without evidence

that “thousands of Christians are being killed” in Nigeria.

Nigeria, Africa’s most populous nation, has faced multiple conflicts involving banditry, terrorism, and communal violence, which have affected both Christians and Muslims.
