T+rrorism: Suleman Says ‘You’re S%ck’ If You Ask Why Pastors Are Silent

The General Overseer of Omega Fire Ministries, Apostle Johnson Suleman, has warned against the routine blaming of Christian clerics whenever incidents of t+rrorism or v+olent att+cks occur in the country.

Speaking during a church service, Suleman expressed frustration over what he described as a persistent and unfair pattern of holding pastors responsible for public commentary on insecurity.

“You see all the att+cks going on now. And as soon as it happens, they call pastors, ‘why are pastors not talking?’ You are s%ck,” he said.

He elaborated on why he believes such criticism is misplaced.

“Let me tell you why I said you are s%ck. Have you ever heard somebody before he pulls a tr%gger say ‘praise the Lord’ and then he h+rm somebody? Or he says ‘thank you Jesus’ and he pulls a tr+gger?” he asked rhetorically.

Suleman argued that questions should be directed toward leaders of the religions associated with the perpetrators, rather than Christian pastors.

“The first people you should call are those in that religion. It’s their religious leaders you should call, not pastors. Pastors should speak for the sake of humanity. Does t+rrorism have a Christian nomenclature? What do they shout before they h+rm people?” he asked.

The congregation responded with, “Allahu Akbar.”

He added, “Is that a Christian parlance? So why are you calling pastors?”

The cleric emphasised that Christian leaders should not be held responsible for acts carried out by groups outside their faith, insisting that accountability and public commentary should begin within the affected religious communities.
