Two students of Adekunle Ajasin University (AAUA), Akungba-Akoko, Ondo State, have been arrested by police over the alleged dr*gging and rpe of a female colleague.
According to the Ondo State Police Command, the vict!m was reportedly lured to a friend’s room, where she accepted a drink that was allegedly dr*gged, leaving her unconscious. While incapacitated, the female suspect reportedly brought in a male accomplice who allegedly carried out the assault.
Neighbours who heard unusual noises intervened, and the victim was rushed to a hospital for medical attention, where she is now recovering. Police say both suspects have confessed and are cooperating with the ongoing investigation.
The state police spokesperson warned that the offenders “will face the full weight of the law,” adding that the suspects have been handed over to the Gender Desk for further action.
