Former Miss Universe Nigeria, Chidimma Adetshina, has finally opened up about why she did not participate in the 2025 edition of Big Brother Naija despite publicly declaring interest last year.
In August 2024, Adetshina announced her intention to join the reality show, raising excitement among fans. But the show eventually aired and wrapped up in October — with Imisi winning the N80 million grand prize and a brand-new SUV — without her appearance.
In a video shared on her X page, Adetshina explained that her manager stopped her from joining BBNaija’s 10th edition because she was still the reigning Miss Universe Nigeria. According to her, the pageant rules and her active title made participation impossible at the time.
She added that she fully intends to join the 2026 BBNaija season once her documents and commitments are sorted.
Speaking on her experience in Nigeria, the beauty queen expressed fondness for her stay:
“I really enjoyed my stay in Nigeria, and even now, like I said, once I get my documents sorted, I am going back. Nigeria was really great for me. The eight months I spent there were amazing. I feel there is more to explore; there are so many opportunities in Nigeria.”
Adetshina had earlier announced in November 2024 that she would take a break from pageantry to focus on education, modelling, and acting — a move that appears aligned with her plan to return to BBNaija next year.
