U.S. President Donald Trump has called on Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky to be “more appreciative” of the United States’ continued support in the war against Russia. His remarks come amid growing tensions between the two leaders over military aid and diplomatic relations.

“Well, I just think he should be more appreciative because this country has stuck with them through thick and thin,” Trump told reporters at the White House on Monday.

The comment follows recent public disagreements between the two leaders regarding U.S. assistance to Ukraine. Reports have surfaced suggesting that Washington is reconsidering its military aid to Kyiv, though Trump denied making any immediate decisions on the matter.

“I haven’t even talked about that right now. I mean, right now, we’ll see what happens. A lot of things are happening as we speak,” he said, adding that any decision could change quickly.

When asked about the fate of a minerals deal between the U.S. and Ukraine—a deal that was seen as a potential step toward easing the ongoing conflict—Trump dismissed concerns that it had fallen through. “No, I don’t think so,” he responded.
