Lagos-based fashion entrepreneur, Onyeuka Sophia, the founder and CEO of Sophie Couture, has passed away.
Her family announced the tragic news in a statement shared on her Instagram page on Tuesday, March 5.
Describing her death as an “irreparable loss,” the family expressed deep sorrow over her passing but did not disclose the cause.
“With heavy hearts, we share the passing of Sophie, the visionary founder and CEO of Sophie Couture. More than a leader, she was the heart and soul of this brand, infusing every design, decision, and moment with her boundless passion, creativity, and unwavering dedication,” the statement read.
They highlighted her lasting impact on the fashion industry, emphasizing her passion, excellence, and the warmth she brought to those around her.
“Though her absence leaves an immeasurable void, her memory will continue to inspire us, guiding us as we honor her dreams and carry her vision forward,” the family added.
