Parents of nine children abducted in Miya village, Ganjuwa Local Government Area of Bauchi State, have called on Governor Bala Mohammed and his wife, Aisha Bala Mohammed, to intervene in rescuing their missing wards.

The appeal was made during a press briefing at the NUJ Press Centre in Bauchi on Wednesday, March 26, 2025.

Speaking on behalf of the parents, Musa Kwana, the traditional ruler of the community, expressed deep concern over the prolonged disappearance of their children, who were kidnapped in 2014.

Kwana listed the names of the abducted children as Sangi Turaki, Cikawa Turaki, Danjuma Turaki, Yangawa Dogo Talangu, Bebi Bawa, Jumolo Dangaladima, Kangaya Kori, Jummai Adamu, and Alti Shehu, all from Miya village.

“Now that we have tried everything humanly possible for several years since the incident happened in 2014 and could not get a positive result, we want the governor and his wife to step in and wipe our tears. We want to see our children,” Kwana pleaded.

The parents lamented that their efforts to locate their children had been fruitless, leaving them in distress for over a decade.

They urged the state government to deploy its resources to investigate the matter and help reunite them with their children.
