Renowned clergyman and former Vice President of the Living Faith Church Worldwide (Winners Chapel), Bishop David Abioye, has officially launched his new ministry, unveiling the name of the church as Living World Conquerors Global Assembly.
The announcement was made during his first official Sunday morning service, held on May 4, 2025—more than six months after his unexpected retirement from the Winners Chapel leadership.
The service, which was streamed live on Facebook, attracted a large audience both online and on-site, as followers eagerly anticipated his next move.
In his address, Bishop Abioye emphasized that the decision to begin a new church was not influenced by external pressure or public expectation, but rather a fulfillment of a divine calling.
“May I make it clear that the inauguration of this assembly is not in response to people’s demands to start a church, but by emergence of God’s eternal purpose ordained from the foundation of the world,” he said.
He further described the new church as an extension of the universal body of Christ, aligning with the biblical mandate to spread the gospel globally.
“This is simply an offshoot of the church of Jesus universal, which keeps expanding and spreading across the globe in furtherance of the great commission.”
The moment he announced the name—Living World Conquerors Global Assembly—the congregation erupted in joyous celebration, marking the beginning of a new chapter for the respected preacher and his followers.
His unveiling has also ended months of speculation and curiosity among church members and the broader Christian community, many of whom had wondered about his next steps following his exit from the Oyedepo-led church.
Bishop Abioye concluded his announcement with a prayer and a warm welcome to all in attendance, expressing hope that the new assembly will serve as a spiritual home for believers across the world.
“Everyone who witnesses this today will not cease to conquer,” he declared.
